Innovex Golf Launches "Revolutionary Loft
System" Irons
Company Selling 11-piece Sets Starting at $399
LEAWOOD, Kan. (February 9, 2004) - Innovex Golf Company has a
performance-based message for every golfer at every handicap
level: Extra iron in your diet is good - less under-utilized irons
in your golf bag is even better.
With the launch of its Revolutionary Loft System (RLS) irons,
Innovex has successfully designed a set of irons allowing golfers
to be more distance accurate from a wider range of distances.
"A player using Innovex irons will have an advantage because
there are simply more options and more opportunities to take a
full swing," says Kevin Downey, president of Innovex Golf.
"A full swing is easier for most golfers to repeat."
The
RLS irons are made of soft 431 stainless steel offering a solid
feel and lie and loft adjustability. The mid-size, cast
cavity-back design provides an extremely stable clubhead while the
additional mass of weight behind the face helps maintain feel.
"A set of Innovex irons has a moderate offset progression -
producing a higher trajectory in the long irons and a more
penetrating ball flight in the wedges," says Downey.
"Our set will cover a much greater span of distance than most
modern sets in the marketplace, and do so with a tighter distance
gap between the short irons and wedges. This is where distance
accuracy is most important."
An 11-piece set of RLS irons includes five wedges. Downey says
this reflects on modern golf course design elements where second
and third shots into greens are more likely to have to come in
high over some kind of hazard. "The combination of feel and
stability, and the overall playability of the irons, is remarkable
for a cast, cavity-backed design," he says.
Price points are: $399 for an eight-piece set of RLS irons with
the stock stepless shaft and $449 for custom shaft options. For a
limited time, Innovex Golf is offering the three additional wedges
for FREE with the purchase of an eight-piece set. Toll-free
ordering can be handled at 866-402-6097.

Downey admits the inspiration for his RLS irons was born from
observing unused clubs taking up valuable slots in golf bags.
"I noticed a lot of under-utilized long irons and the large
gaps in loft between the short irons," he adds. "A
higher percentage of shots are taken with short irons. This led to
the formation of our RLS irons with comparable gap distances
between each club."
