LOL Good to see I have a green version of this on the way going to try the 15* and see what happens same shaft but in green what are the specs you have on that one. It looks like you got the UL FGS. They were out of the standard so I went with the UL.

Yeah that's one of the FGS Ultralite 55 custom color wood shafts in white. I tipped it to the recommended spec for stiff flex and cut the end to DTGs standard recommended 3w length.
I thought about going with the green but really love the white/black look
(matches my panda butthead headcover lol).
If I build a 2h and 4h I might go with the green shafts though.

Just seems 50ish grams would be way too light for a fwy wood.

I agree it is but I am looking to make this more of a tee three wood and go a wee bit longer on it length wise.

In talking with the folks at Golfworks about fairway woods they found the same thing.

They are claiming their BM3 FW woods have a hotter face than anything tested today.

They have full range behind their facility and brought in groups of golfers. These golfers hit Callaway, TEE, RBZ, and the Golfworks BM3. Pete said that most of them did not hit a 50 gram shaft well. Especially the stock RBZ 50 gram shaft.

I played a Cobra Rail F with a 60g shaft. It was a strange feeling, but I had an easy time hitting it.

GW BM3, eh? Maybe I'll give it a look in my quest for my next 5-wood. I tell you though, I had a chance to visit the GW facility a few weeks ago and was very disappointed in their pro-shop. Like GG and GS stores, there was more major-brand equipment out than component. The staff wasn't helpful. Did I miss something?

Sorry had to just double check the measurement. The club measures to a Finished length of 43 inches.

I thought it might be too but Jeff recommended it for the LPT 3 wood in the DTG forum. So, I figured what the heck. I had a Hireko True Ace Cadence FW 80 shaft lying around and figured if this FGS UL55 didn't work I could swap that one in. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about it. Now my only problem is I have too many 3 woods lying around that I need to get rid of. This LPT 3 wood is gonna be in my bag for awhile. lol

BM3 looks nice, but no 4 or 7 woods

I can't even use a 50g shaft in a driver; don't know how people hit fairways and hybrids with super light shafts.

I have been in the pro shop maybe 5 times. Every time I have been in there Jeff has been there and he has been more than helpful. I don't know what to tell you. Maybe an off day?

Yeah, me either.

I'm not gonna bother with a 4w either. I think a 3w & 5w may be in order.....maybe steel shafts.

OK, I got interested in this head from the posts here and ordered a 3 wood head. Came in yesterday, shafted it up with an NV-75S I had here and played it today.

I must say I was impressed with it. I'm not sure it's any longer than my gamer, but it sure was straighter and had a great trajectory. It looks good too, which is nice. The price was very reasonable and quality very good too.

It's a little too early to anoint it as some type of iconic club and I'll be trying it out some more next week. Initial impression is very positive though.

Got my hybrid and fairways yesterday. They really are quite nice looking heads. Have to see what pullouts I have laying around and try to take them for a spin next week.
