Yeah we had a dry winter. Apparently last year they had so much snow melt that they had to close the river for the rafters for safety reasons. This year they are thinking about closing it for the rafters because its too low

The ranger said that it hasn't been stocked since 1982. Apparently some variety of fish was introduced and screwed with the ecosystem so they backed off with that idea, but I do think trout?? fishing could be popular at certain times of the year. Sorry, not a fisherman LOL

That's the Merced river. I stayed at the lodge right on that river in 2010, good year for rain. even in July the waterfalls were huge. The river is fast and loud.
