I think the worst is when they are taking it out on the kids or the people that volunteer their time.

When I was a kid I had a LOT more fun participating in the made-up baseball games we'd play in the streets in North Jersey than the Little League games we had with umps and parents and coaches. Stickball, stoopball, running bases... those were the fun times.

Stickball in the neighborhood alley here in Indiana. We used a solid plastic golf ball and a broom stick handle. If you could hit that...You could hit anything!

Kickball and dodgeball here - grew up on USAF bases in enlisted housing - Dad was an E7 so we played with what we could dig up - fun times!
