Seems every time the marshall drives up I crap myself on that hole. I like trying to hit a good shot in front of people, but marshalls screw with me for some reason. My mind starts thinking about why he is here...did I forget a club, does he want to bust my balls about slow play, etc. Seems I just mentally check out LOL

He's not a real cop, ya know.

If he just sits there watching you, just turn around and (very loudly) tell him to quit lookin at your a$$ when you swing. That should get rid of him. If it's a her, waggle some extras and swing away!!!

I'd step off the tee and ask him to drive on... I do the same with the beer cart girl.

+1 - it is distracting to me also. I think our guy usually stops out of courtesy (to be quite), so I just step back and ask him to drive on.

You're so fragile and delicate - its cute

All you folks so easily distracted by someone being there, best never enter a tournament. Or play about any other sport for that matter. We really need to stop expecting complete quiescence to hit a damn golf ball.

You, my friend, need to get some BALLS!!!!! Seriously, Brian, you are probably better than most, if not all of the Rangers riding around on there golf carts, mostly doing nothing but drawing there minimum wage, if that.

How the heck were you ever an Insurance salesman? You are so timid and shy, wtf? Your a decent looking guy, have a nice golf game, live in California....dude, MAN UP!!!!!!

As mentioned above fragile and delicate....uhh, that's a women!

At my local course we MAY see the marshall at the 1st and 10th holes, but that's usually it. I mentally checked out a few years ago any way so no worries there

Funny story about a marshall. I was playing a couple of weeks ago and hit a blind shot over a hill that doglegged a bit to the left. I cut the corner a bit and hit the ball well. Ended up the marshall and cart girl were sitting close to the green having a chat and when I rolled up he wanted to know if Id like to see where my ball landed. I figured that he would move his cart and it be laying underneath but instead he showed me that it hit the ground, bounced one time, and landed directly in the hole in the dash where you keep you wallet and such.

A Marshall with any tact would set 30-40 yds back to insure he wasn't bothering you on the tee.

The only thing that bothers me about some marshalls is the ones they assign to the par 3 5th at home course is always blind as a bat and never sees where the balls end up if you miss the green long or right. How is that helping?
