Traded for one of these heads awhile back and with the recent installation of a Prolaunch Platinum it has knocked the F11 out of the bag. It's a 9.5* and the lower trajectory just works better in the windy conditions I've been playing in here in Texas. Like the F11, it has a great feel with a slightly louder sound that feels more "explosive." Yes, I know these have been around awhile but this is the first one I've had and I like it! The PL Platinum in R flex is a good match for my 92-95 mph swing with not the smoothest of tempos. This shaft is light (59 grams) but tight.

Three things I had previously read about this head: (1) low spin; (2) not very forgiving; (3) open face. I don't know the true measured loft of this head or other 9.5* heads I've had, and I have not compared numbers on a launch monitor so it's impossible to say whether it's lower spin. However, it definitely is not generating "too low" spin for my swing speed. Prior to the PL Platinum I installed the stock Matrix Ozik 6.1 that came with the F11. The 9015d definitely launched higher with the Matrix shaft. Overall, performance with the two shafts suggests a launch angle equivalent to other 9* and 9.5* drivers I have had. I don't find the head to be particularly lacking in forgiveness. Certain heads like the Cobra L4V were super forgiving but this head seems about the same as many other good 450-460cc heads I've tried. The face angle is definitely neutral or perhaps even slightly open. I can't tell visually whether it's actually open but the F11 looks slightly closed in comparison. I really don't draw this club at all. Good hits go dead straight or have a slight fade. On certain days and certain courses I will choose the higher launch of the F11 but for now the 9015d is numero uno.

I've tried and tried this head wanting to find the "nirvana" that others have spoken of. And this from a guy that is still gaming the original Adams Redline driver. But alas, it seems to be a poor fit for me. I compare it to the Bridgestone J33 drivers. They were super long when hit on the screws. But poor hits were just to penal for my taste. Just not enough built in forgiveness for me.

Glad it works for you though.

It was a bomber for me. I had it paired with a Blueboard 63-S and it was money until the day I sold it.

You were a big fan of the Tour Pooner, too. One of my favs. Don't post about what else you like. It might be too tempting.

The Tour Pooner is awesome except I have caved in the faces on 2 of them now, in the exact same spot on the face weld. There seems to be a flaw with the Tour Pooner's face having a disproportionate number of failures based on what I've read on WRX. I have a 3rd Tour Pooner that I'm current gaming and patiently waiting for it to break. Ugh.

I've been ho'ing around trying to find a reasonable replacement! LOL I have a 9064LS and I'm not loving the sound/feel. I have 2 FT-Tours which are really nice looking heads with the muted thwack I love but I'm spraying both of them all over the map. Not a good vibe going with those right now but when hit on the screws, they are really long.

My newest head has promise for Tour Pooner replacement: 910 D3 10.5. I'll let you know.

The 9015D is a great head. In the end, I wished mine wasn't so open faced. I couldn't really turn it over without making an exagerated move which, strangely enough, brought snap hooks into the equation. Stupid brain. I should have stuck with the easy fade, in retrospect. It seems they could get really out-of-spec as far as face angle. I saw a few in the shop sitting square with others flopping wide-open 2+ degrees (as mine did).

If you're reading this, there's a 10.5 9015D in the SS here for 40 bucks

I saw that but I am fine with the lower loft. What I'd like to try is a lower lofted F11 to compete with the 9015d.

Another example of to "whatever works for you". I had a 9015d and yes it was very loonnnggg. But not forgiving enough for my so-so swing. I now own an F11 and it's the best driver I have ever had. Perfect combination of feel, launch, spin, & forgiveness. Me in love.

I like the F11, too. Agree it has a great feel. Honestly, I don't notice a big difference in forgiveness, though. With the face angle of the 9015d I have to be careful about fading too much but I don't have to worry about going left at all.

Started the season with the 9015D paired with a UST Axiv Black and it's still in the bag. Longest combo in awhile for me. I don't know why the open face works for me because I've always played a fade but I find I can hit them straighter and even draw this club.
