I have a HoF ultralight long drive shaft. What length should I make my long driver? I'm looking at a low loft No Brainer (7 to 9 degree).

47" with no tipping at all!! Add in at least a 5gr. tip weight. If you are using the 'Ultralight' @ 230 CPMs, keep in mind that the shaft is 48" raw and a normal shaft with 230 CPMs is a full 2" shorter to start with, thus when butt trimming this LD shaft, you will significantly raise that 230 figure. And it's gonna be a stiff MoFo. Maybe similar to a standard shaft of XX-XXX!!!! If your swingspeed is around 120, then just carry on as usual...... .

48". If you don't like it, cut it down to 47". If you don't like it, cut it down to 46". Etc. You can always cut it, it is harder to stretch it.

Oh yeah hang on it's even on topic...a bit. I reshafted a blokes club recently and played a round with him to gauge the result, it turned out great. The thing I found interesting is he grips atleast 3" down the grip and hits it a mile,it is shafted at 45"

I got a swing speed of 102.4 MPH today. This was with the 44" DCT with a Patriot shaft regular flex. Anyone want to chime in on a good long grip that allows for choking down on? I have black widow grips I was going to use.

Lamkin now makes a longer grip for wedge use; I'm sure it's good for any club. IIRC, it is 1" longer.

Go for the full length. You can always cut the shaft down and its always fun to carry a really long club.
