Since we're discussing Golf Forums.........
My favorite is GEA. Been a member there for many years and it's my first stop in the morning for the same reason that many have made FGI their first stop. FGI is a close second as I've made many friends here and the information is very much the same but in a different format.

Golfdiscussions sucks as they had/have some power hungry idiots that run that site. I also spend a bit of time at Golfbiztalk but am not a fan of the environment there.

Golfwrx is likely a great forum but I'm not a fan of viruses and they seem to get them way too often. I don't go there for that reason.

This is my fav. I couldn't help but notice, tho, that golfbiztalk has very liberal filtering of profanity.......like none. The 4 letter words fly about like a crew of sailors were posting.

Compared to some other popular golf related websites, and what this place used to be like....
It seems like FGI has been on life support for some time now!

GEA used to be the main golf site for me, with FGI a close 2nd. However, about 9 months ago or so, a bunch of people migrated over from the Golf Channel forum, and the site completely changed. It just became toxic with all the negativity and antagonistic attitudes. I stopped visiting there about that time, just to save my sanity. It's too bad, as I was there from the very beginning, and made some good friends there.

So FGI is now #1 for me. It's much more civil here, and there is still a bit of component talk, which is what I am really into.

Can't argue that the closing of the Golf Channel board was a bad thing, but the GEA is not that bad as a result at this pointThere have been a few posters who were given a vacation or banned as a result of their behavior and rightfully so. The world doesn't need Ken Pitts type stupidity on every golf discussion board.

The dork that runs that site claims to not want to spend time editing posts and whatnot because it's a free speech forum where you can "tell it like it is" with no censorship.
Unless you are negative about something Almo related and then he seems to find the delete button rather easily.
It's a forum of egos and guys most golfers would want to see in somebody else's group and not their own.
GD is similar, ironically.

Landon is on every golf forum on the net so I am not inclined to join any others now.
I get enough of him here.

Hacker's Paradise is full of sheep! Most follow the leader right over the cliff and gawd forbid you should disagree and actually say it especially about the big OEMs. They'll be on your ass like sharks when there's blood in the water. $$$ driven there.

FGI is numero uno for me.

I go to 4-5 daily but none, none would I post on more than a few times while there. Most everything that can be discussed, is and after awhile you are basically reading and posting the same things. Some of the sites the posters are really looking for a argument and some sites are so bland it is boring. Sites I go to usually GEA, Golf rewound, Golf Discussions, FGI and while I no longer go there GolfBizTalk was one I spent a lot of time on. There are others, but I don't post on those sites, I just go there to see the different threads and if there is anything of interest.
