There are quite a few pro's at my club in Florida and I was able to play in the club champ. I qualified as the medalist, won my matches and made it to the 36 hole final - (I am too old for this) - but lost to a very good player on the 32nd hold. I enjoyed it.

Good job. That is awesome.
I'm also impressed with your thread title; I like that you enjoyed playing your club championship. I think sometimes people forget that golf is a game, and therefore is meant to be enjoyed.
