I used a friend of mines Callaway Diablo Laser Rangefinder the other day and here's my thoughts on it.

GET IT......this is the Red & Black model with 6x optics. Very light weight and fits the hand perfectly. Very clear viewfinder with optical correction eyepiece. Good if you wear eye glasses. Picks up the flag easily at 200 yards in and claims to to be able to pick it up at up to 550 yards (though I don't know why you would need it at that distance) and will scan different yardages for 8 seconds when you hold the button in. This baby was very very accurate, was easy to use and very fast. It shows the battery in the fiewfinder but as a whole the viewfinder is clear and not cluttered at all.

I actually like it better than any of the GPS units I've owned and better than the Bushnell V2 that another friend uses.

I've seen it on sale at Amazon for $249.00 and at that price point I'm going to pick one up. I was affraid I would be able to hold a Rangefinder steady enough at my age to use on, but this thing is so fast it takes only a second or two to get an accurate yardage.

Does it give you true uphill our decline ranges? My Callaway range finder had a slope rating as well.

They do make a slope model, but this one did not have that feature.
