I boldly predict that someone at work tomorrow will ask "What the *&$# was he thinking?" only to be drowned out by the mantra of the Pats faithful "In Bill we trust....in Bill we trust...."

(Most likely because he'll use a draft pick on an OL player and trade down with the other pick, at least if he holds his usual form...)

Or he might do something totally uncharacteristic, like trade up not once but twice to get a couple defensive players....who knew??

Yes, I have a few predictions.

1) Every Eagle fan in the hall will jeer their first pick.

Nope, Eagles fans were cheering. Cox is a good pick-up! Getting back to dominating defense would be appreciated in Philly.

Claiborne, great move up and pick by the Boys, have really improved their secondary. I like.

True they helped fill one hole on the team hopefully, but so many other holes I see more mediocrity for at least another year.

It was just round one dude???? Let's see what they do with the rest of the picks and I do not see mediocrity.....biggest issue last year was db's, now we have two studs, I like the pick a lot! Our D looked weak at times last year because our DB's just plain stunk. I want to get a SS and Guard, another WR....

echo everything you said. can't remember who said in the aftermath (kiper? someone on the nfl channel?) that Jones might have been a top 10 if he hadn't been injured.

who knew? it is 2012, the year the planet reverses around some axis.... so i guess the Mayans?

Look, the Cowboys are my team but they have a lot of issues at many positions. Drafted players aren't a lock to be good in the NFL. I still say one more year around .500, a couple more free agents, and another draft and they will be right back in the conversation. O-linemen don't grow on trees and they have maybe 2 solid ones right now. QB, RB, TE, WR, OLB, and ILB are in pretty good shape. They need improved play, or improved players at most of the other positions.

"NFL Draft Grades: Entirely Too Early Evaluations Of How Teams Did Thursday". At least they were honest re: the title for that article. LOL

I wonder why the pro teams don't snatch up some of these "experts" who are grading their drafts?

I usually don't watch it because it takes to much time. But when I heard updates turning over like crazy on the radio, I was interested and went upstairs and turned the channel to ESPN and my son came in and we watched it together.

Trent Richardson is going to have about a 3.2 rushing average and get hurt.

I don't see much impact.

Also Browns will have a brand new QB with McCoy on the slag heap.

Browns will still be horrible.

The Browns had about a decade of the worst drafting you can imagine. The last 2 years of merely adequate drafts have made a difference. If they just manage merely adequate this year, they might finally be watchable.

Richardson and Weeden were a fine start even if Weeden was a reach. Seems pretty clear they don't want McCoy out there any more.

Nevermind, you were talking about Carr I'm guessing.

I thought that was a gutsy 1st round by the Browns. A difference maker in Richardson that they had to move up to guarantee getting and trying to catch lightning in a bottle with Weeden. Holmgren's influence I'm guessing.
