Anyone play orange golf balls? If so, which brand is the best out there? I was thinking Bridgestone has an orange ball????

Thanks,

Wendell

Volvik, Wilson, Nike, and Bridgestone all make orange balls. Maybe others. I've only played the Bridgestone e6 in white and thought it was a pretty good ball.

I don't know how visible an orange ball is but the Titleist NXT Tour Yellow ball is highly visible.

Those are the basically the ones I stumbled across when I googled orange golf balls. I may try the Wilson Fifty Elite, because I have enjoyed playing the Wilson 50/50 golf balls.....

e6 Bridgestone and Wilson 50 Elite that is pretty much it. Depending on your swing if on low end go Wilson 50 higher end go e6.

Both the Wilson and the Bridgestone are really nice golf balls, at least for me. My driver swingspeed is about 100, give or take 3 or 4 mph. I think the Bridgestones are slightly longer off the tee but I like the Wilsons around the green. I think the Wilsons putt as well as any ball I've ever played; very similar to the ProV1 on the greens.

Thanks. When I'm in town tonight, I may have to stop by my local Golf Discount and pick up a dozen of the Wilson's. They have them online, so hopefully they will have them at the store for the same price $12.99 dozen plus tax......

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys! I searched a bunch of used golf ball websites and this is the list of orange golf balls I came up with...

Wilson Staff Elite 50
Precept XP3
Bridgestone E6
Volvik Crystal
Nike PD Long
Srixon AD333 (UK only?)
Srixon Z Star VX Tour
Maxfli Noodle Ice

I think there are only a few of these brands that are still being manufactured (E6, Nike PD long, Wilson Staff & Volvik and maybe the Srixon AD333 in the UK.) I ended up buying a dozen of the Wilson Staff Elite 50 from a Website called Clubsandsticks.com for $12.99 with free delivery (because my local Golf Discount, Dicks, Dunhams and Wal-mart didn't carry them) . Hopefully I will have them in my grubby little hands in a couple of days.

I'll let you know how they play.

Thanks again...

Wendell

The Titelist DT Solo is now available in yellow. I have always liked that ball - may give it a go. I have never used anything but white.

I found a yellow Titleist NXT Tour the last time I played. When I found it, I just thought it was an old Titleist and then when I saw it was an NXT, I knew it had to be fairly new.....

Bridgestone E6. Good ball if it was any color.

Why did the colored balls go away. Was it peer pressure? Bad design?

I don't think it was a design issue, peer pressure is a possibility....... I think more than anything the demand for colored golf balls (yellow, orange, etc...) just wasn't there...... they probably didn't sell enough to make it worth their while to produce them......Seems like yellow golf balls are making a come back......
