For the past few years, I have been an avid fan of Mizuno irons. I played with the MX-200s and now I play with the MP68's. The MP68 are the best irons I have ever played in 17 years of playing golf. My scores have gone down, mainly because my confidence has gone up with these irons. It may be psychological, but still it helped.

my 1st name brand was callaway they overnighted them to me for a vacation a decade ago. Since then I have traded cally ironed 4-5 times and never spent more than a 150 for the next set. Currently, have the 07 forged because there isn't a better cally iron for me. Now them ap2 712 are a upgrade I may take the jump to play. now being lefty is a double edge - cheaper but impossible to find used.

For me, PING first closely followed by Mizuno and Titleist. If I had to choose purely for soft feel...Mizuno.

I have always been a Ping kinda guy, but recently got a great deal on a set of Callaway Diablo Edge Hybrid Mixed set, along with a Diablo Octane Driver and 5 Wood. I've not hit this many good solid golf shots in years, getting a Hole In One and shooting 77, followed by 83, 82 85 and 83. I hit the ball longer club for club, and straighter as well. I'm now sold on Callaway

I played Wishon's several years but now that my local Ping rep lives just down the street and it's all Ping in the bag. In fact my wife says he is the neighborhood crack dealer.

I think they all make some nice irons. I've had Mizunos, TM, Titleist and Cally irons that were all great. My favorite irons have been Snake Eyes (600XC & 675XC), Maltby (M-05 & Tricept TU) and Wishon (560MC) though.
