Im curious how spin rates are affected by location the ball is impacted on the clubface. I heard that hitting it low on the face creates a high spinrate. Anyone have info on this?

Spin boils down to this main question: Which direction and how fast does the spot on the BALL where the clubhead makes contact, travel in relation to the BALL's center of gravity. Just like spinning a basketball on your finger. The further on the SIDE of the ball you strike it and the faster you do it, the more spin you impart on it. Now som other factors can influence our main question such as friction, however where the ball is struck on the clubface has more to do with trajectory than spin.
