Here's another thing to think about when you are playing well and want to keep it together.
When people are playing poorly, they immediately think that the entire round is going to stink. In other words, they believe that past performance is predictive of future performance. But when they are playing well, they think "Well, this won't last long!" In other words, in THIS situation, they think past performance has no bearing on future performance.
Makes no sense, right? Can't have it both ways! Each new hole is a new hole; better yet, each new shot is a new shot, and the prior holes and prior shots don't necessarily predict the outcome of the current hole or current shot. Focus on the here and now instead of on the overall round, and your scores will improve.
