So if I understand the theory. It reduces the vibration of the tip of the shaft, thus less dispersion.

So torque and tip profile don't matter. The shaft will still maintain it's properties because the piece of graphite is separate from the actual walls of the shaft.

A UST Axivcore Blue w/ 3.8 torque shaft and an active tip will still play roughly the same, but with less vibration, thus less dispersion.

The only changes are a slightly stiffer tip, a 1 point increase in swingweight and a small increase in total weight and ~ a 1/2 flex more CPM. So a 240 CPM will now be ~ 245 CPM.

So up tp a 40% gain in accuracy would amount to (for example) instead of hitting it 20 yards offline you now hit it 12 yards offline with no loss of distance.

Is this about right? If so it would seem like a winner. I like the mobility of it so you can just buy one and use it in different shafts.

The bold appears to be correct based on the videos at Harrison. It sounds good on paper/video. I'd like to see some slow motion video of a shaft without it and a shaft with it.

Regardless, I don't think I'm going to buy one yet. The damn thing costs more than my entire current driver.

but they also can be moved from driver to driver fairly easy. I dont think I personally would buy one but it does seem like it may help a lot of people

For the whole kit including the cutter - $149.

The insert only is $99.

All this minus FGI discount of course.

Will do.

I can't wait to try it myself next weekend. There's one "F" insert with my name on it.

..... A sustained 10%-20% accuracy improvement would be sensational for instance.

I think that would depend on how you value that sort of improvement.

Speaking personally, spending US$ 100 to reduce shot dispersion by 6-7 yards (20% of 30-35 yards) doesn't seem like value-for-money

It is when you are 3 yards OB once or twice each round. Speaking from experience.

... which I'm not

There's a difference between shot dispersion and not being able to aim straight or properly assess risk.

IOW, if you know that your average dispersion is 15 yards left or right of your intended target, don't aim closer than 20 yards (or possibly 25 yards) to an OB fence or hazard that is in range, to give yourself a bit of margin for error !!!!
