I thought it was bad to have stuff inside of a graphite shaft above the hosel... creating a shear point somewhere.

Also later on,I might try checking the FLO of different shafts w/wo the insert.

....that was my next question. I do have a lot more tho.

I'd do it right now,but I don't want to mess with the current mojo.....
Know what I mean?

I don't think it's so sturdy that it creates a shear point.

It sounds like this is something that will primarily benefit the better golfer, am I right? Having a more stable shaft doesn't seem like it will help someone with poor or wildly inconsistent mechanics.

$99 to get your clubmaker to do it or $140 to do it yourself with the kit. Yikes!

Yikes is right 360flip. This discussion on the Shotmaker is ongoing on another golf forum.

Bottom line is this -- too expensive for a slight improvement in shot dispersion. If the Shotmaker could guarantee a 75 percent reduction in shots going to the right, then Harrison might have something. But, for the majority of golfers, the price is way too expensive.

It doesn't work miracles but if it can mitigate a couple of errant drives that cost me 4 to 5 shots per round, I'd happily pay $100!

I'm a tinkerer. I'll almost certainly be ordering one.

And that's on top of the $150-300 you already dropped on a shaft.

I'll give it some time to see how users rate it after awhile. Seems like many products ,when they first come out, people want to like it,and they're GOING to like it no matter what. after the hysteria dies down, you get a better idea of how it really works.

I use cheap shafts,my lightweight is a $29 Diamond Tour, and my conventional drivers are a Merc Performance,a Golfin' Colors, and an old Limey. So adding $99 to a club wouldn't be a deal breaker. Seems like this product would help make a cheap shaft more consistent,so an $11 I-Drive and a $99 insert isn't outrageous.
