Pure genius. Come back in a tournament that he only has to stick around for as many rounds as he wants to. If he doesn't like how things are going outside the ropes he can just lose the match and leave. But it gets the monkey off his back.

Hope he can make a success of his marriage. I am never against giving someone an opportunity to change and do the right thing.
In this case it is not just about Tiger and Elin, there are two children.
Regarding his golf career, I suspect that will also be a matter that will require a change. I doubt if people will react the same to many of Tiger's antics of the past. No one is going to forget his conduct off the course. If he throws clubs, curses, etc., in the future on the course you will see a percentage of the fans give him a hard time.

I wish he, Elin, and the children the best. I hope he can return to his top form on the course, but most of all that he sees that his wife and children are the most important things in this world.

I'm still amazed...
Amazed that folks think they "know" Tiger based upon 'him' being a media creation in your minds.
More amazed that any would think it's within their purview to pass judgment on Elin and whatever she chooses to do!
It's pretty much her prerogative and personal decision to do whatever it is she wants. How would anyone here be able to offer an informed opinion on the matter?

I don't think there is an exact handbook on how long of a break you take. Most people with marital problems still have to go to work everyday while they shake things out. The fact that he has taken 2 full months away is a rather significant amount of time to let things shake down and figure it out in my opinion.

Calm down. It's just peoples opinions and we are not speaking directly to Elin I assure you. I feel bad for Elin, but I also feel badly for Tiger. No one here has walked in either of their shoes and I am sure that we do not know the whole story on either of their parts. What has happened is definately a shame. All we can do is guess, suppose, wonder and discuss it on a discussion board. That's why we are on this discussion board..... to discuss.
