Uhm, I thought in the context of your OP, my reply would make sense. T86 Paula Creamer +4 F +4 76 That is, another champion's score that you never expect. quote:

I went out there Sunday. It was my first LPGA event. Wow! These girls really do rock! I could not believe how well they hit the ball. I look at it this way... They play the same tees I do. They hit it the same distance I do (maybe a little further) They shoot scratch. Huh? I saw one bad drive all day, I think. They are that good. I see that the key is to be VERY STRAIGHT. I mean NEGLIGIBLE sidespin. Something else...TV definitely puts on pounds. The girls are all a lot leaner and trimmer when you see them in person. Christina Kim and Kristie Kerr were the pair I watched tee off first. They are both so petite! I never imagined. They both blasted high straight tee shots into the fairway, first drives of the day. To the OP, Karie Webb has a beautiful swing. Her finish is the one to copy. She was a little out of sorts though, and kind of testy with the crowd. Lorena Ochoa is all over the place during her swing, she must really have it grooved. She jerks violently on the downswing. Watch out for Na Yeon Choi. She has serious game. Bam Bam deserves her nickname. Go and watch an event if it comes to your town.

I agree. LPGA golf is not exciting and usually only watch on Golf Channel late night replays, but for the most part, the kind of golf most should aspire to play. Nothing wrong with under control, down the middle, on the green, try to make some putts.

Totally agree with Skymarker, these girls are really good. I was at the tournament on Sunday with the family. The first group we followed had Paula Creamer, Ai Miazato and Angela Stanford. All three were wonderful players and my girls became instant Pink Panther fans. Lorena was a tiny girl yet she was hitting 260+ drives on the fly on an extremely soggy course. I really hope that they come back to Houston next year.

congrats to Anna for the win and Ochoa finished second to earn her fourth consecutive Player of the Year award, by one point over Jiyai Shin.

Count me in as a big LPGA fan. I went to my first tournament this year and am already planning on volunteering next year (thankfully it is one of the ones that is coming back).
