Hey guys I would appreciate any advise on this. First I have played CobraTTDG f-115s stiff, Wilsonstaff TTDG S300s, and adams players lite regular.

Now i am looking for a second set or irons(ie cer 900) something a little more forgiving than my fi5s. But I think i would like a lighter shaft. I tried an adams a4 with TTDG sl stiffs and felt great.

Now the question:how would say TTDG SL x100s compare to FST 115s stiff or TTDG S300s, or in other words would a lite xflex(110grams) play like a normal weighted stiff flex. same performance with less weight? as in flight, etc (((maybe an xflex graphite....)

I hit my five iron about 90mph. (wilson fi5 about 180)(cobra 2300 about 210) just confusing thats all. thanks and god bless.

From my experience the S TTDG compares to the S TTDG SL quite similarly. Just lighter. No I don't think the X SL and the S standard DG are the same flex. Just because one is lighter in weight does not mean it will be more fexible. A good example was the Rifles of years past. They came out with a super light version of the standard rifle, I believe called the Rifle light. In the same noted flex it was almost a flex and a half stiffer then the standard weighted Rifle.
I have been using the Stiff TTDG SL's for the past year in my Hogan Apex plus irons. My 5 iron goes 175 with a smooth transition. I like the Stiff flex, but I know I could use the Regulars with no problem. I don't think I would like the X.
Try to look at your overall swing timing to get a good idea about correct flex. The speed at impact is just small part that would determine proper flex. Transition speed, where is your release, how much forearm or wrist turn do you use, and trajectory (actual, and desired) should be included in you decision.
I have no experience with the FST's.
Good luck.

Thanks for the advice. I can hit regulars yet they feel very "whippy"at impact. THough i can change swing speeds to accomodate reg, stiff, etc, i just like the quick swing i normally use. Thanks again.
