A little slow around the equipment forums these days with the economy and winter coming around the corner.. but its never too early to start thinking about 2010 and what will be in your bag.

I know this is early and with some new component stuff yet to be released...with that said..
I want to try out the following in 2010 (even if some of this stuff is "older"):

Bang BOM 401
Alpha RX-2 irons
Golfsmith wedges

Getting as many rounds in right now as humanly possible to make a better decision for the starting lineup for 2010.

Irons -- Went back to the GS P2's
3w -- V-steel/Creation 80
5w/Hybrid -- TM Rescue Mid
Driver -- Too many good ones! I was crushing my Alpha Carbon 460/Bassara X combo. My BOM/V2HMOI is a contenda as well
Putter -- I love my pinfire Eagle...making more putts than ever before

Actually I was pretty happy with the bag at the end of 2009:

Callaway i-Mix FT9 and FTiQ w/Fubuki Tour 63 & Fuji Fit E150
Re-shafted SMT MB's with SK Fiber Tour 80's 6,7,8 & 9
Re-shafted Eidolon's with SK Fibers also 48, 52, 56 & 60
Exotics CB1 strong 3, 3 5 & 7 woods
Innovex Hybrids 3, 4, 5 & 6 (picked 'em up here)
The putter situation is unresolved. Went from blades to mallets to bellies and back again all year.

Of course there is always room for improvement. Can you say Prophet Tour blades?

Sold the Callaway irons I had and an old loft/lie machine to make room in the checkbook for the new Prophets when the lefty heads become available. Also needing new wedges and thinking about a couple of Caiman hybrids. Basically, I guess I'm purging and starting over. My putter will never leave me though, I love my little Slighter...

Drivers: DB Creation, and Nemi Basalt combos are either really good or really bad. They will have a new contender once the pink driver gets finished.

FW: I love the 3390 woods, I may just change the shaft to a heavy graphite shaft. Also may add a 5w.

Hybrids: I just started with hybrids I now have 2 of them, DM ProSteel and J33, I need to get them reshafted and weighted correctly.

Irons: Like my CB2's, but I have an itch to try either the new SMT irons or the Prophet irons matched with some FST shafts.

Wedges: Looking to replace my Duros (55,59) with other Duros (53,57). Hopefully a 53* will shorten the gap between my current PW and 55*.

Putter: Is set, Mizuno TPM #5, just need a HC for it.

LD: Any head that I can get a hold of cheap is going in the bag.

No big changes since my bag is almost set at the moment

Of course there will be new wedge heads to get that new club feel and it's always nice to rip out some plastic off and watch friends' faces

Also I need lower lofted driver so geek DCT 10.5 gets replaced with 9 degree model. Shafts are going to change as well - thinking of enzo70 and HOF patriot to try first.

So these irons are the ones for me at the moment although some shafting experiment will be done..

Putter works great but I have this idea of one which I haven't found and don't know if one exists.

..and I'm still looking for Baffler pro #1 16deg /w S300 shaft

Not much but enough tinkering for the winter

I may change nothing, everything or just some things. Never know, but I will certainly be trying new clubs and tweaking.

Driver: Currently 11* 919THi/Pershing 75. Would like to find something with similar forgiveness, but maybe a bit more penetrating flight with some roll. This club may get sidelined for awhile, but it will be tough to knock it from the bag.

Fairways: Currently 949MC 4 & 7/Series 5 Steel. I may go graphite, but not sure anything can beat these heads. Viper XTi 3 wood is nice though and I drool over those Nak HTec fairways.

Hybrid: Currently Ping Rapture 4h/FST 90. Good performer, but not quite right. Might reshaft with 950GH or find something else.

Irons: Wishon 560MC/Black Gold. So sweet, but I also like my SE 675XC/Accra Tour. Hard to decide. The engineer in me would like to go hi tech 2-piece like Wishon 870Ti. Also have a set of Maltby F1's in the works. I think I will get down to 1 set of cavity backs and 1 set of blades....maybe...I have an iron fetish

Wedges: Nak NP-1 52/Black Gold & CX Micro Tour 56/Hi-Flight. The Nak is money, but getting worn. The CX is nice and also getting worn. I'm looking around.

Putter: Never Compromise blade. I want something like this in a midsize mallet. Got to be heel shafted with toe hang and look right. Haven't found it yet. Really I just need to become a more consistent putter
