There is no cut in HSBC stroke play ? Makes sense as there is only a few players from the home country . Must be very expensive for some golfers who have to travel half-way around the world .

Greetings ....
There is no cut at any of the stroke-play WGC events (CA-Doral, Bridgestone and HSBC). The Accenture event is round by round elimination match play.

I would guess that even if there's no appearance money the player and their family probably get to go with most if not all expenses paid. The better you play the more free stuff you get

Greetings ....
No appearance money in any WGC event. You get paid a share of the advertised tournament purse JUST IF you commit to the event.
In the HSBC Champions event, the money is unofficial for US PGA Tour players whether or not they finish all 72 holes. As far as any Euro Tour player is concerned, money received from the advertised purse will be official provided that all 72 holes of play are completed.
