A company I have not seen in an FGI post in quite a while.

Pulled a drive into the left woods on the 15th hole today. While looking for my ball I found an Innovex Emotion golf ball. After the shock of seeing anything Innovex on a golf course (except in my bag) I decided to try the ball.

I am impressed, very soft (big surprise), very good distance and exceptional check up /spin around the green. The ball seems to launch higher and land softer than my current favorite the Bridgestone B330s. The innovex offers similar carry and even better spin than the 330s.

Big surprise, this is a nice golf ball.

Interesting.... & you're right, we haven't heard much from Innovex 'round here lately.

I went to their site & browsed a little bit, here's the specs on their golf ball:

392 Dimples
Compression - Progressive
3 Piece w/HPF mantle
Proprietary Aeroblend cover
Polybutadeine Progressive Motion Dual Core
Dimensions - 1.550" on the outer core
Dimensions - 1.510" on the inner core
Dimensions - .04" for the mantle
Dimensions - . 07" on the cover

I was curious if this was a Urethane covered ball, but it is listed as a Aeroblend? cover.

Kind of like the Uniflex shaft.

I plat the Distance Iq 180 from Precept and it is supposed to have progressive compression as well. It must be directly proportional to your swing speed...low speeds gives a low compression?? Anyhow, these are the best feeling balls I have ever played...super distance and great for the short game.

I will not play another ball.

If anyone has use for:

Nike ONE platinums
Callaway HX Hots
Srixon Tri-Speeds

Let me know, I'll sell them cheap.

whats "progressive compression"

From reading on other balls, I believe the compression value actually changes as you go from the outside of the core to the center. Can't remember if it gets softer or harder as you get closer to the middle.

I think multiple cores are used so that one is harder and the other is softer.

Here's the media on the core in the new B330RX:

"Its core is softest in the center and gets gradually firmer toward the outer edge. (Same applies to the new Tour B330 and Tour B330-S.) The idea is to boost energy transfer to the center, which creates more power. "

I would think the same would apply to the Innovex.

Next time my wife pokes me in the gut and says "Your getting soft around the middle" I'll tell her "No, I'm progressive!"

Thanks! The story about finding an Innovex ball in the woods and replacing the one you have been playing with is pretty cool - maybe we should use it in our promotions:).

We appreciate the kind words.
