I've actually grown to like Sergio. He's grown up a lot and seems to have a better attitude these days. If he really thinks he can't win a major though, I'm sure he won't. I wish him luck anyway.

I don't see Sergio as someone who gives up. I suspect it is more of a way to take the pressure off from the media and perhaps even from himself. Some people just play better when their attitude is more relaxed and perhaps Sergio knows that about himself.

Agreed. Maybe he's not the "brash" young gun anymore cause he hasn't won anything to be brash about. I find myself always hoping he plays well.

Despite his attitude, I find myself rooting for him. I am suprprised, at his age, that he has not learned 'the rub of the green'. This game giveth and this game taketh away - you can never beat it - once I caved into that, I started enjoying the game for what it gives me. Maybe Sergio will relax now that he's 'adjusted his dreams'. Could lead to better play?
